	Credibility – joining an association that upholds ethical standards in business practices and works with the State to eliminate deceptive advertising and behaviors.


In order to become a member of ORRAM, a business must satisfy all of the following requirements:

	Have engaged in the business of selling authentic Oriental rugs for at least five years.

	Have an established place of business other than a residence.

	Not engage in deceitful or misleading advertising that harms the public, competition, or the industry as a whole.

	Be knowledgeable enough to identify each rug a dealer sells by country of origin.

	Must not be directly or indirectly involved with any company that is primarily engaged in the wholesale distribution of authentic Oriental rugs.

	To be approved by at least two-thirds of the general membership.
